Meet the Fab Four! Four of Ulster University’s finest have joined the practice, thanks to their success in the recent Hamilton Architects UU Bursary Awards 2024.
Part 1 Architecture students Lloyd Andrews and Hoklim Joyce Lui will be joining the team for the summer, before resuming their studies at the York Street campus in September.
Architectural Technology & Management graduate Zara Jones is coming on staff for a year, along with fellow graduate Melissa Guedes, who was a runner-up in the awards to ATM student Sinead Duffy.
The HA Bursary gave each student £1k cash and an offer of a placement year out with the practice. The winners were selected from outstanding projects they submitted as part of their coursework at UU.
During their time with the practice, the students will have an opportunity to input into a number of ongoing projects and to learn new skills which will help them expand their knowledge of the profession and guide their future careers.
Partner and Awards judge Graeme Ogle said: “We are delighted to welcome these talented young people on board and look forward to working with them as they grow into more skilled, experienced practitioners.”
